Marya Duplaga
Costume Design 

A Toronto native, Marya studied Fashion Design at Sheridan College and George Brown College. She began her career coordinating fashion shows at numerous venues in the region including The Eaton Centre and became a photography and commercial stylist working with a multitude of studios.

A love of films led her to joining the Costume Department of IATSE local 873 as a Costume Assistant. She worked her way through the various categories gaining experience in all relevant aspects of the industry. 

 Marya’s goal is to bring the Director’s vision to the screen, while helping the cast members become comfortable in defining their characters. Throughout her career she has worked with such actors as Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Cara Delevigne, Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan, 50 Cent, Olsen Twins, Matt Damon, Al Pacino, Liza Minelli, Cathy Bates, Omar Epps to name a few.

She speaks English, Polish, French, reads Latin, and understands most Slavic Languages.
